A gift guide from the workshop
Every piece here is made by hand in my South African workshop, engraved for the person receiving it, and presented in a handcrafted wooden chest. These are the pieces I recommend most often, by occasion.
Corporate, farewell and retirement gifts
For the colleague who is moving on, the director who is retiring, or the client you want to thank properly. A pen engraved with a name and a message, in a wooden chest with a family crest, is kept for decades. I make gifts for churches too.
Gifts for him
Fathers, husbands and grandfathers who have everything rarely have something made just for them. Bolt action and gearshift pens are made for men who love mechanisms, and a bespoke automatic watch becomes an heirloom.
Weddings and anniversaries
Rings in steel, exotic wood and resin, engraved inside with a date, a name or a verse. Made for wedding bands, anniversaries and promises.
Graduations, new jobs and milestones
A first serious pen marks a new chapter. My fountain and rollerball pens let the owner switch between both writing systems, so there is no wrong choice.
Awards, trophies and memorials
Send me a photo of anything and I will sculpt it by hand in wood and resin. I make the SA Bully Festival trophy and have made commissioned pieces for Piber Stud.

Questions
Can the gift be personalised?
Yes. Most pieces can be engraved with names, dates or messages, and you choose the wood or resin, the hardware finish and the presentation chest. Every pen arrives in my handcrafted wooden chest with a custom family crest on a glass plaque, and its own Storybook where you can add a personal note.
How long does it take?
Pieces are made to order by hand, so allow about two weeks. The current lead time is always shown in the banner at the top of the site.
Do you deliver?
Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa. International courier is available for R490.
Can I pay a deposit?
Yes. You can pay the full price, or a 50% deposit to secure your order.
Can you make something that is not on the site?
