Thank you for the oppurtunity to make something beautiful for you. Every component of this pen is made like an independent piece of jewelry, at my bench. Itโs a piece of fine art, that is made to be appreciated. It just happens to be a piece of art that can be used from time to time. The amount of time that goes into each component is truly beyond words. Congratulations on obtaining the oppurtunity to own one of the most exclusive St. Paul articles, a genuine piece from the high arts label, โThe Art of Bespokeโ.
Owners enjoy a preview of select technical drawings. Each Part is made from fine stainless steel at my bench, by hand. Fidevita is made up from 11 little pieces of art, which when put together, create a timeless symphony of form and function. The section and centerband are threaded by hand, using very delicate single point cutting techniques.
Fidevita uses a wide variety of finishes & techniques. Polishing, bevels, tapers, & brushing are a few examples. The principle of Chiaroscuro is applied. When you have contrasts in form, there will be variation in how light gets reflected. This is one way humans perceive craftsmanship, timelessness, and excellence.
The clip is a great example. Consider the top surface, sides and the ring beneath the finial. Their varied appearances are intentionally different, resulting in a fine art piece. Needless to say, you are the owner of something special. Please enjoy your ownership. -Anthony Slater (Chief Artist)
